Biography

Cong Ye is a PhD Candidate supervised by Prof. Campbell Middleton, co-supervised by Dr Liam Butler and Prof Mark Girolami and advised by Dr John Orr. He is also a member of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Infrastructure and Built Environment. His research is focused on the integration of monitoring and modelling for bridge performance evaluation and digital twin development, which uses two instrumented railway bridges in Staffordshire, UK as a case study.

Areas of research: 

  • Bridge digital twin 
  • Bridge loading and load distribution 
  • Integration of physics-based and data-driven analytical approaches
