Maria Gkovedarou

Maria Gkovedarou is a Ph.D. Student at the Construction Information Technology group of the Laing O'Rourke Centre. She is expected to graduate in 2021. Maria holds a M-Eng-B in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in the Engineering Project Management from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She was previously a visiting CIT scholar during Michaelmas and Lent terms in 2017, focusing on guidance of construction inspectors using Mixed Reality devices (e.g. Microsoft Hololens). Maria also worked in the "BIM Advancement Academy" Group of Bentley Systems in the summer of 2017. Her research project for the Ph.D. is focused on the use of Mixed Reality in Civil Engineering projects. She is supervised by Dr Ioannis Brilakis and advised by Prof Campbell Middleton. Maria is a member of Darwin College.
