We were delighted to welcome participants to the second edition of the World Construction Leadership Forum (WCLF), held at the University of Cambridge from 24 to 26 February. This year’s edition focused on “Building the Future: Data-Driven Transformation in Construction,” and brought together leading construction companies from the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Finland, Japan, Israel, Hong Kong, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates.
Designed as a working forum rather than a traditional conference, WCLF provides a trusted environment for senior industry leaders to identify shared challenges and develop practical, collaborative responses. Through focused discussions and structured sessions, participants worked together to translate insight into action, agreeing priorities for ongoing collaboration and creating opportunities for the group to continue working collectively towards implementable solutions.
The forum concluded with a visit to the Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction (CEMC), Laing O’Rourke’s state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility, which showcased high-end modern methods of construction in practice and reinforced the forum’s emphasis on delivery, innovation and real-world impact.
