Laing O'Rourke Centre for Construction Engineering and Technology

 

A delegation from Mongolia, led by The Speaker of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, Mr Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve, recently visited the UK as part of an official trip to explore potential collaborations in diverse areas, including sustainable development, green energy, and digital transformation. During their visit, the delegation toured the engineering labs at the Civil Engineering Building, hosted by Dr Brian Sheil and Professor Giulia Viggiani.

The visit provided an exciting opportunity to showcase the innovative work in the labs, particularly in civil engineering and sustainable infrastructure. Dr Sheil guided the delegation through the facilities, discussing the potential for future academic and research partnerships. The Mongolian delegation expressed strong interest in exploring new avenues for collaboration, reflecting their commitment to advancing engineering practices and technology in their home country.

The visit underscored the growing international interest in fostering partnerships that support infrastructure development and innovation.
