LORC Research Associate, Tercia Jansen van Vuuren, participated in a key panel discussion at the Global Leadership Forum Summit, hosted by FIDIC – the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, in Madrid last week.
The session was part of the ongoing Carbon Collaboration Initiative, a high-impact effort aimed at creating a common, replicable, and standardised methodology for calculating and disclosing both embodied and operational CO₂e (carbon dioxide equivalent) emissions in infrastructure projects. This ambitious work is being led by the CEOs of some of the world’s largest consulting engineering firms, with FIDIC at the helm.
Now in its third year, the Global Leadership Forum Summit convened around 100 of the world's top infrastructure leaders to discuss bold, workable solutions to the most urgent challenges facing the industry and the planet. The summit continues to serve as a key platform for collaboration, innovation, and action toward a more sustainable future.
Tercia’s involvement highlights our continued commitment to supporting global efforts in driving sustainable infrastructure and climate-conscious engineering practices.
