Lendlease construction directors Programme

As part of our goal of providing cutting edge training to current & future industry leaders, the Laing O’Rourke Centre is currently delivering a two week bespoke Executive Education Programme, The Future of Construction, to 18 senior Lendlease Construction Directors based and working on projects around the world.

Delivered by some of Cambridge University’s leading experts in the field, the sessions focus on some of the big topics currently facing the construction sector: the construction industry’s ability to deliver – challenging the status quo; strategic  development; corporate risk; the future of skills and the labour force; and sustainability and resilience.

The sessions include:

  • Complexity in organisations - Professor Eve Mitleton-Kelly
  • Economics of cities and implications for infrastructure - Professor Pete Tyler
  • The construction industry’s ability to deliver – challenging the status quo - Professor Campbell  Middleton
  • The management of risk in response to complexity  - managing risk at the enterprise level - Professor Danny Ralph
  • Future of work and labour - Professor  Brendan Burchell
  • Sustainability and resilience - Dr Kristen MacAskill

The Future of Construction sessions are part of a collaboration with University of Sydney, John Grill Centre for Project Leadership’s Lendlease’s Construction Directors Development Programme.
