Laing O'Rourke Centre for Construction Engineering and Technology

 

We are recruiting a Senior Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge to lead a new research team in data-centric construction. We are looking for candidates with expertise in any of the following technological enablers:

- AI, digitalisation and data

- Advanced sensing, monitoring and data acquisition technologies

- Computer vision approaches

- Computational methods, e.g. finite element, data-driven approaches

- Simulators to generate synthetic training data

 

This is a unique opportunity for researchers with a strong background in construction, infrastructure, engineering, computer science, or related disciplines who are passionate about driving innovation and making a lasting impact in construction and ready to take on more research leadership.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Join a world-class research environment in the Laing O'Rourke Centre for Construction Engineering and Technology, University of Cambridge and Cambridge Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction
  • Work alongside leading experts in the field and manage engagements with industry partners
  • Lead their research agenda, mentor junior researchers, and collaborate across disciplines
  • Contribute to Cambridge undergraduate and graduate teaching activities.
