We’re pleased to welcome Dr Olivia Remes to the LOR Centre as a Research Associate. Olivia is a mental health and wellbeing researcher currently focusing on social value and wellbeing in the construction industry.
Her PhD in Public Health and Primary Care at the Cambridge Institute of Public Health, University of Cambridge, focused on what makes people anxious and depressed and coping strategies that protect against poor mental health. Olivia's research has been featured by the BBC, Forbes magazine, and USA Today, and she has appeared on several radio shows and podcasts talking about anxiety and the impact that it can have on people’s lives. She has delivered seminars and webinars on mental wellbeing to organisations worldwide, helping people learn how to thrive despite adversity and change.
Olivia has written extensively for the public on mental health, and in 2021 she published a book, The Instant Mood Fix: Emergency remedies to beat anxiety, panic or stress.
Before coming to Cambridge, she worked as a mental health researcher based in Canada, where she’s from.
