CEM05 students attend first residential week

Last week we welcomed the Cohort 5 of the Construction Engineering Masters (CEM)*.

Young professionals from leading construction companies attended presentations and workshops run by industry, government and academic experts. Lectures and interactive group sessions covered key course themes such as finance, planning, procurement, technological innovation and legal issues.

Notable speakers included Peter Hansford, UK Chief Construction Adviser, Prof. David Balmforth, President of ICE and former MP Nick Raynsford.

*The CEM programme is a two-year part-time degree aimed at construction professionals. Students spend a total of seven residential weeks in Cambridge: four in the first year and three in the second. Find out more about CEM here.
