This event is a unique opportunity to learn about new research outcomes that tackle construction industry challenges. You will hear about insightful evidence-based research completed by mid-career professionals and future leaders as part of their CEM dissertations on a range of key issues facing the construction industry.

Some of the topics include:

  • Can the construction industry apply the principles of sports science to improve health, wellbeing and performance?
  • What steps can be taken to increase interest in STEM fields amongst schoolgirls to address the gender imbalance in the construction industry?
  • How has hybrid working changed the way knowledge is disseminated in an engineering design context?

In addition to the presentations, the event will offer plenty of opportunities for networking between CEM alumni, current students, leading industry guests and academics.

Registration on the day will be from 09:00 for a 09:30 start. Presentations will finish by 15:20 followed by a further opportunity for networking over drinks and nibbles.
