Biography

Paul joined the Department of Engineering in 1995. He works on a number of research projects developing real-time instrumentation systems for structural health monitoring of civil infrastructure assets such as bridges, tunnels and trams using a variety of technologies including wireless sensor networks, fibre-optic sensors, and piezoelectric and MEMs accelerometers.

He has co-authored two books, one detailing practical guidance for bridge monitoring and the other on the use of wireless sensors for civil infrastructure monitoring.
