Clara Lloyd worked as a research associate with Professor Cam Middleton from 2019 to 2020. Her research focused on quantifying the benefits of offsite construction in the civil industry. She completed her PhD under the supervision of Professor Cam Middleton at the University of Cambridge in 2019. Her PhD focused on the modular manufacture and construction of small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs) , studying the effects of modularisation and offsite construction on reducing the build time and cost of nuclear power plants. Clara is originally from Canada and has an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
