Biography

Paul Goodrum is the Nicholas R. Petry Professor in Construction Engineering and Management in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder. 

Dr. Goodrum teaches courses in the area of productivity improvement, construction methods, and building information modelling. The thrust of his research focuses on the intersection of construction productivity, demographics of the U.S. construction workforce and its influence on craft availability, and the influence of the format of visual information on human performance.

His research has been funded by a combination of federal, state, and industry agencies and he has been the recipient of the Construction Industry Institute’s Outstanding Researcher Award in both 2008 and 2014. Paul is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Kentucky.
