Biography:

Ms. Armeni is currently a PhD student at the Construction Information Technology group of the Laing O'Rourke Centre, as a Marie Curie fellow. She received a Diploma in Architectural Engineering from the National Τechnical University of Athens, Greece, a Master in Engineering as a MEXT scholar from the University of Tokyo, Japan, as well as a Master in Informatics from the Ionian University, Greece. Her work experience includes a variety of architectural projects and competitions in the private and public sector. Her research interests are focused on novel ways to automatically generate 3D building models based on the computer vision and machine learning analysis of data acquired using inexpensive cameras and the concept of free space modeling as a reasoning tool to multi-view object categorization in BIM. Iro is a member of Emmanuel College. She is supervised by Dr. Ioannis Brilakis and advised by Prof. Roberto Cipolla in the University of Cambridge, and by Prof. Silvio Savarese in Stanford University.
